Game Designer with Casden: Banque Populaire
My Role :
My role in this professional project was that of Game Designer, Project Coordinator and Sound Designer. I designed the mechanics and documented them in a comprehensive document. I balanced out all the different parameters of the game. A lot of balancing was done since it's a city management game. I coordinated all the different teams and our client throughout the production of the project. I designed all sound interactions and mechanics, and implemented them into Unity.

A simple mechanic
The main mechanic of this game consists on assigning agents to tasks that appear in the game space. To achieve this, the player must drag the agent and drop him onto the task. The player possesses 6 different types of agents : Security, Health, Cultural, Construction, Education and Sport Agents. The main challenge of this mechanic is identifying the correct agent to place onto the task. Each task requires a specific agent to be completed, indicated by the shape of the icon below it. This type of challenge is very similar to that of the children's game where one must fit shapes into the correct shaped hole.
Narrative Gameplay
To add to the engagement of our players, we decided to have a story push the player to complete the different levels. The story is communicated through classic dialogue filled cutscenes, but also in-game events. These events would start with some dialogue explaining the project a character wants to conduct in the game space and then the player can chose the strategy on how this event will be developed. This choice then spawns tasks in the game space that the player must complete in order to validate the event.
